LWOG Earth Day Volunteer Event — April 22, 9am – 4pm
Join us for a volunteer event hosted by Wildlands Restoration Volunteers on April 22, 9am – 4pm.
Saturday Apr 22, 2017 – Number of Volunteers: 70
Since 2013, WRV volunteers have been breathing life back into our flood damage watersheds. This year, WRV is preparing our largest slate ever of river restoration projects.
Please join us as we begin the flood restoration process at a site on Left Hand Creek, just north of Boulder. Your efforts will help protect our water supply and restore wildlife habitat by revegetating scoured stream banks. Activities will include native seeding, diverse plantings of native trees and shrubs, soil enhancing amendments and mulch, and erosion control fabric. Our revegetation work comes after large scale equipment work has reconstructed the channel and streambanks. This project is an opportunity to learn about river restoration at it’s best.
WRV is pleased to collaborate on this project with LeftHand Watershed Oversight Group, Iron Woman Construction and Flywater.
